A Charity Event
On 13 February 2019 a group of students from grade 11 visited the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Department of Stefan Cherkezov Municipal Hospital and donated a portable hemoglobin analyzer. Purchasing this medical device was agreed on as the charity cause for the annual Christmas Charity Ball organized by 11th graders of the American College Arcus Ltd. The medical staff of the municipal hospital expressed their joy and gratitude to our students. Surprisingly, it has been years since anyone made a donation for that particular department, which provides in cases of emergency the necessary blood supplies for all the other departments in the hospital. The students had the opportunity to test the donated equipment and learn more about blood donation. The rest of the money raised at the Christmas Ball will be donated to a local child in need of an expensive medical treatment.
