A trip to Skopje, Ohrid and Struga

To mark the Leaders of the Bulgarian National Revival Day, students from the school's Green Guardians Ecoclub went on a field trip to the cities of Skopje, Ohrid and Struga between 1-3 November, 2017. Students had the chance to see some of the cultural and historical heritage of Republic of Macedonia as well as realize its connection to Bulgaria.

In Ohrid, the students placed flowers at the memorial of St Kliment Ohridski and went on to see: the Lake of Ohrid, the oldest in Europe and a world heritage cite of UNESCO; the old town with its craftsmen's workshops; Samuil's fortress; Bilyana's springs; the ancient dwellings in the lake and St Naum's monastery. In Struga, the students had a walk in its central part; they saw Miladinov Brothers' house and the point where the Cherni Drim River starts from the lake.
