Active Politics Organization at American College Arcus
A representative from Active Politics - an organization aimed at educating active young people about democratic rights and duties - visited our college. The occasion was a workshop on civic education. This meeting happened due to the initiative of our student, Nia Vladova, from XIIa grade.
Her classmates actively participated in discussions, sharing their dreams and fears regarding the future of society. Students from XIIa grade also participated in interactive games with mind maps, thus getting acquainted with new concepts and terms from civic education. The most curious part of the workshop involved democratic voting, in which ACS students chose to participate in a simulation - representing a political party while planning a campaign in favor of the community. After the end of the training, the students received certificates of participation.
