College students – winners at the Ninth National Creative Writing Competition in English

Mikaela Hristova from grade 11A came out second in the Ninth National Creative writing competition in English, organized by the CORPluS.

On 26 January 2019 the national panels of judges selected the top three works from each grade. This year the number of students participating in the first round of the competition was 4,234 from 173 Bulgarian schools. Mikaela is the only winner from a school in Veliko Tarnovo.

Her work will be published on the sites of the Creative writing competition and the American College Arcus.

Maria Drandeva from grade 9A has qualified for the second round of the competition for two consecutive years.
