European Schools For a Living Planet
From 22nd to 27th October in the town of Illmitz in Austria was held the Fourth Academy of "European Schools For A Living Planet", which is an initiative of WWF.
The members of the Discussion Club "Model United Nations" Iliyan Yordanov - a Math teacher and Tervel Dunchev from XI a class from "American College Arcus" took part in the program together with students and teachers from thirty three schools from nine European countries, through which the river of Danube flows.
For six days the participants were introduced to the three main subjects for future projects:
Active Citizenship
Ecological Footprint
The River Danube
Until the end of May the participants will be working on a project on one of the given topics. During the final meeting, which will be held from 31st May to 3rd June, all the schools will present their own projects. The winners (four schools) win a one-week summercamp in the vicinity of Bucarest.
