Excellent performance of students and first place won at the “Beaver” Competition – Bulgaria

On November 6, 2022, the Beaver” - Informatics and Computer Literacy Competition was held.  This is an international competition to which 50 countries in the world are affiliated and further 12 countries are awaiting approval. The competitions are held between students from one country. Bulgaria is one of the member countries and has been holding competitions since 2012. Bulgarian students compete in two age groups – 5th -7th  grade and 8th -9th  grade.

For another year the students from PSHS American College Arcus® took part and we had representatives in both age groups. The students were motivated and active in their preparation, adopting the problem-solving strategies and approaches proposed by their teachers, leading to the achievement of first positions in the ranking. In the age group 8th -9th grade Nikola Bozhkov from grade 9b won first place out of 251 participants. In the top 15 are Velina Kostadinova, Iva Stefanova, Emma Pavlova, Lyuboslav Marinov and Magdalena Petrova. The other participants – Nikolay Kanchevski, Alexander Velikov, Anton Markov, Antoni Georgiev, Ana Mamuchevska, Stefan Anastasov and Mirena Petkova had decent performances too. Arcus's youngest students were also brave and responsible and performed at a high level. We congratulate Ivan Kozlev, Mihail Petkov, Teodor Nedev, and Preslav Yordanov for their participation.

We wish everyone even greater success in the future!
