Group 4 Project 2015
Students from the Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate together with members of Eco club Green Guardians at American College Arcus realized an interdisciplinary project on natural sciences and ecology - Group 4 Project. It was carried out from 12th – 14th June 2015. During that time the college students visited the biggest factory in Europe for synthetic production of soda ash Solvay Sodi Joint Stock Company in the town of Devnya. The students were introduced to the manufacturing process, the ecological standards and the application of soda ash in the production of glass, paper, detergents etc. Mr Spiros Nomikos, the company’s CEO, personally met the students and encouraged them to continue working with passion and responsibility in the fields of science, technology and ecology.
