Honoring World Stroke Day

Having been invited by The Dr. Stefan Cherkezov Hospital in Veliko Tarnovo, students from IX, X, XI, and XII grades studying Natural Sciences took part in the national initiative "Path of Knowledge" which the Regional Hospital and the Association for Stroke and Aphasia organized to mark World Stroke Day (October 29).

During the meeting, Dr. Angel Angelov, a specialist in neurology, introduced our students to the most typical risk factors and signs of a stroke, as well as the treatment options that are usually applied. The passage of students through an interactive "Path of Knowledge" guided by medical specialists was an exciting and also a beneficial experience.
