Interdisciplinary Lesson on Electrolysis

Students from grades 9, 10 and 11 worked together on the principles and application of the chemical process of electrolysis. They developed the physical concept of the process with an emphasis on the chemical nature of the chloralkali electrolysis and its application in biotechnologies and medicine. The integrative lesson presented a combination of methods for studying redox processes from the point of view of chemistry as a science, an experimental physical model of electrolysis and biological scientific presentations.
