International Translation Day Celebration

For another year, the International Translation Day was celebrated at PSHS “AC – Arcus” Ltd. This year’s programme included a contest for translation of an excerpt from Maria Laleva’s novel Life in the Rocks, who was our guest on Friday (30th September). Our students, in addition to having the opportunity to ask the writer some questions and find out more about her inspiration, saw the dramatisation of the translated excerpts of the author’s work, performed by Arcus Entertainment. Ivayla Yovcheva, Ivon Garcheva, Nia Vladova (10th A grade), David Dimitrov (10th B), Alexander Panev (11th A), Alice Georgieva (12th A), Georgi Penchev, Ivan Tsvetkov, Yuliana Moor (12th B), and Alexander Cholakov (12th G) performed on stage, while Daniel Borissov (10th A) and Yordan Russanov (12th A) were the people who were responsible for the backstage organisation.

Kristina Nikolova (8th V), Lora Radoycheva (11th A), and Ivan Tsvetkov (12th B) stood out for their exceptional translation skills demonstrated in the contest. The winners were awarded by Ms Laleva, who wished for the young talented students at American College – Arcus to keep being creative and develop themselves.
