Mikaela Hristova from grade 12A – a finalist in the National Competition – I Can Here and Now

Mikaela Hristova from grade 12A qualified for the finals at the Fifth National Competition in Foreign languages and oral and communicative skills – I Can Here and Now, which was held in November 2019 in the town of Devin, Ismena Hotel. More than 270 participants took part in the competition coming from all over Bulgaria accompanied by 50 teachers. The first round of the competition consisted of writing an essay on a given topic, the second round tested the participants' knowledge of grammar and reading comprehension, and the third round was reached only by the best 15 participants in each age group. The competition was organized on a national level in partnership with the American University in Bulgaria.  Ms. Boryana Shalyavska, Director of Admissions at AUBG, Ms. Bilyana Dimitrova, Esq., University teachers and Student Ambassadors from AUBG as well as organizers of the event from the I Can Here and Now Association formed the competent jury who carried out the difficult task to select the best of the participants. All finalists were awarded Certificates and material rewards.
