National holiday in Spain and Columbus day in the USA

In relation to the date the 12th of October- National holiday in Spain and Columbus day in the USA- the students from 9a took part in an interdisciplinary lesson conducted by the History teacher Angel Angelov and the Spanish teacher Anelia Kostadinova. The students discussed the discovery of America- an event that changed the course of history in a different way. Not only were the students introduced to the Spanish historical heritage in the new world, but they also learned about the indigenous Indian way of life and language, which still exist today. The Spanish culture spreads way beyond the boundaries of Europe and Latin America, it is present in distant Asia. The language of Cervantes and the image of Don Quijote de la Mancha came to life.
