Online classes with administrative judges
Judge Diana Kostova and judge Mariya Danailova from the Administrative Court in Veliko Tarnovo gave online lectures to 10th-grade students of the American College Arcus Ltd., during their Philosophy classes, on the following topics: Judicial system in the Republic of Bulgaria. Structure and functions of the judiciary. Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria; 2. What is administrative justice?
The initiative is part of the Educational Programme “Judiciary - informed choice and public confidence. Open Courts and Prosecutor’s Offices” – a joint project of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Ministry of Education and Science directed towards the formation of legal literacy and culture among students, aiming at increasing the level of confidence in the judiciary. Upon completion of the programme the Administrative Court in Veliko Tarnovo will welcome the students in the courthouse to acquaint them with the work of employees and magistrates, and will also provide them with the opportunity to observe real trial proceedings.
