Opening ceremony for the new academic year 2018/2019
The opening ceremony for the new academic year 2018/2019 was both a solemn and emotional event. On the sunny morning of September 17th, 2018, the students met their classmates and teachers in the auditorium. The Director, Mr Peter Ivanov, spoke about the achievements of the students during the previous academic year and the challenges of the next. The students, who took the Cambridge exams in the summer, received their certificates. Mr Gancho Karabadzhakov, Deputy Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo, and Mr Banko Bankov, member of the Board of Trustees of American College Arcus Ltd addressed the students, their parents and the teachers. Ms Tsevta Karaivanova (class of 2008), Chair of the Board of Directors of American College Arcus JSC, also addressed the students wishing them to find inspiration at school, which will help them to become well-rounded individuals. Denislav Bonchev from 10 b class welcomed the 8th graders and wished the 12th graders success in their final exams. The freshman students took the traditional oath at the beginning of their education at the College, after which they had their first lesson.
