In the footsteps of the Tarnovian awakeners 

“Don’t be misled by our name – although our institution is called American College, we value and preserve our Bulgarian roots.’ With those opening words Nikolay Atanassov of class 12 A, introduced the video created by our college students to mark the Day of the National Awakeners. The video was presented online at an official event organized by the Regional Department of Education in Veliko Tarnovo.  

The inspired and enthusiastic students - Nikolay Atanassov (12 a), Nicole Mutafchieva (9a), David Dimitrov (9 b), Georgi Zdravkov (9 a), Boyana Komsiiska (9c), Gergana Mileva (11 a), Boris Panchev (11 b), Nia Vladova (9 a), Konstantin Yordanov (10 b), and Ivan Tsevtkov (11 b) did research on and presented information about nine individuals linked to Veliko Tarnovo, who for some reason are not very popular but fit perfectly the image of the awakener.  

The video was beautifully filmed and directed by Victoria Gardeva of 12 A.
