Opening of academic school year 2021-2022

On this year's 15th September American College Arcus opened its nineteenth school year. The opening ceremony was attended for the first time by our youngest students - the fifth graders, together with the newly admitted students in grade 8. Traditionally they were welcomed by the school director. Our special guests at the opening were Eng. Daniel Panov, mayor of Veliko Tarnovo; Mr. Stanislav Nikolov, deputy regional governor of Veliko Tarnovo; Mrs. Vera Petrova, senior expert in Foreign languages and Mother tongue at the Regional Inspectorate of Education; Eng. Banko Bankov, executive director of Arcus Co. and member of the Board of Trustees at American College Arcus, and Mrs. Galya Bankova, member of the Council of Trustees at American College Arcus. Yoanna Genkova, an eminent student from grade 12, delivered an encouraging welcome speech for our new students.

The teachers at the College did not miss the chance to demonstrate their artistic skills and took part in the dance flash mob organized by students to greet the first years and show them that school can be both academic and fun.
