The first day of school

For the twentieth consecutive year, American College Arcus joyfully opened its doors to welcome students on the first day of school. Continuing the school’s long-standing tradition, Director Peter Ivanov greeted all members of the school community and welcomed the newly admitted students, with honoured guests Eng. Daniel Panov, Mayor of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo and Tsveta Karaivanova also participating in the celebration.

During the festivities, Director Ivanov presented certificates to students who had passed international language examinations, as well as to the winners of a range of competitions. All students who completed the last school year with full honours were also commended. The swearing-in of the newly admitted students followed, with encouragement and inspiration from Ivan Tsvetkov, from class 12b.

The celebration ended with a joyful dance performance by the ‘Arcus’ group, featuring graceful and enthusiastic participation of students from Grade 6 and Grade 9, their teachers and Director Ivanov.

This year marks an important expansion in the American College Arcus family, with a full cohort of students in Grades 5 and 8.  As a result of the outstanding reputation of the school accompanied by state funding, the institution was able to admit a wider range of candidates with excellent results in our entrance examinations.
