The Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo awards two students from American College Arcus

Ivan Maslyankov, 8 a, and Anelia Petrova, 10 a, together with 10 students from six schools in Veliko Tarnovo were awarded by Daniel Panov, Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo no 20th December, 2012. The initiative of the Municipality was to stimulate students from Veliko Tarnovo who have achieved top ranks in competition and Olympiads. They received 600 levs each from the 7,207 levs, which were raised at the Municipality Charity Ball. 

The students also received a golden badge and an album with photos and dates associated with the history of Veliko Tarnovo.

"These young citizens of Veliko Tarnovo have outstanding achievements in the areas of science and technology and they deserve to be stimulated. There are many other talented children in our town, not only in the schools represented here but also in all the schools of Veliko Tarnovo. My top priorities as a Mayor have always been to help the young people, sport and education and I believe that the young generation of Veliko Tarnovo must have a special place in our programs. I hope that the money you have just received will help you to have more achievements in the future," said Daniel Panov in his address.
