Victor Badzhorov, Simeon Tsvetkov and Martin Nestorov from 9 b receive awards from the International Students' Competition in Experimental Physics

The students from grade 9 b Victor Badzhorov, Simeon Tsvetkov and Martin Nestorov received second and third prize in the International Students' Competition in Experimental Physics entitled Demonstrative and Laboratory Devices in the Physics Labs in the secondary schools category. Betina Marinova, 9 b, received a certificate for participation. The 19th competition took place at the Faculty of Physics at Sofia University. Participants from reputable schools such as the National School for Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Italian School in Gorna Banya as well as students from Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia.
The young scientists worked with their teacher Greta Georgieva for 3 months and successfuly accomplished all the phases. Victor and Simeon presented a model of a truck. Martin presented a sailboat demonstrating Newton's Thrid Law. Betina presented the properties of Galileo's Pendulum in relation to the Law of Conservation of Energy.
The event was organised by the Sofia branch of the Union of Bulgarian Physicists and TCPA Foundation, America for Bulgaria Foundation, Musala Soft and the Department of Physics at Sofia University.
According to the rules of the competition, the students projects will remain at the Physics labs at their respective schools and will be used during the educational process.
